OK furniture misleads customers in prices

I went to OK furniture yesterday on 08 June 2013. I wanted a gas heater. the price was R749.00. I took it, when I got the counter to pay, all of a sudden they say I must pay R899.00, I asked for the manager and told him that CPA (customer protection act) does not allow stores to advertise a product with one price and sell it on another price. He told me straight he won't sell it to me for R749.00 which illegal according to South African law
