Bad quality jeans

I purchased a total of 4 pairs of Levis Jeans at Edgars in the past 3 years, 3 pairs 797's and 1 pair 516.
My previous pairs of Levis, a 516 lasted 8 years, but the new ones seem to tear way to easily. One pair being only a few months old and already it has torn on the seam near the zip.
