I purchased a pair of jeans from the Gateway Concept store last year. I have worn the jeans less than five times and the back pockets are beginning to tear away from the body of the jeans at the top corners. This is creating holes in the rear of the jeans. When I purchased the jeans I noticed that the material was thinner than say a Levi's, Guess or Soviet jeans, nevertheless I thought that being a popular brand my Life jeans would be quite durable. I was unfortunately wrong and for the R600 I paid for these jeans I have to say that I am very disappointed. I want South African designers and companies in general to succeed but to do so they must produce high quality products that will pull the public away from international brands. I have owned 4 pairs of Levi's jeans all of which lasted more then 5 years each. I only parted with those pairs of jeans because I had grown too tall for them - their quality and durability was outstanding. All of those jeans were cheaper than my Life jeans. I would like to meet with a representative of your company to show them my jeans and discuss my concerns, because I feel that I have wasted my R600 in my effort to support a home-grown brand.
