I was so elated when i heard that Shoprite was to open a convenient shopping centre (Site C Plaza) because that means for us convenience and affordability at our doorstep.
Most of the times i work late (from 07.30am -17h30pm). At approximately 18h30 yesterday i decided to make detour to Site C Plaza to pick up small items for dinner to my surprise i was advised by the security at the door that it's closed. When i contested this pointing out the trading hours as reflected by door clearly indicate that the store trades from 8am to 19h00. The security refused to open the doors at which point i asked to speak to the manager. A young gentleman purpotedly a manager came to the door and without saying anything informed the security that it's closed. I find this sort of attitude smacks of arrogance and lack professionalism. Shoprite must teach their employees about the importance of brand and it's value. If hte trading hours are from 8am to 19h00 consumers are invited to come and shop without any disruptions between these hours and we expect nothing less.
