We visited Tile Africa in Garsfontein today, because they advertised a bunch of specials, and we're renovating a bit.
Right in front by the entrance, they have mosaic tiles stacked, and advertised as the following :
"Was R49.99 per sheet - Now R 19.99 per M2"
Happy about such a saving, I asked for 20 square meters. Then one of the managers came to me and told me that they can not sell it to me for that price, as the ad is wrong. I might mention that the ad was printed on normal A4 paper, made by the sales people themselves, as the manager confirmed.
I took a picture of the ad also. Long story short, they refused to sell the tiles to me as they advertised in store.
I think it is absolutely disgraceful that people will still try these antics in times like these. I will also seek further help under the CPA (Consumer Protection Act) I am really tired of companies doing whatever they feel like, and getting away with it...
