I was in a Woolworths store on menlyn trying to exchange shoes. The cashier said she won't exchange the shoes as they have been worn. I told them yes I wore them, and they were not comfortable, they were not balanced, they caused my ankle to hurt. The shoes where still in a good condition, new except they were worn... She called the manager and the manager called the other one Nico said " lady we cannot exchange these shoes for you as it is not factory fault, so what you do with the shoes is non of my business. When I explained to him but your policy states " you will exchange or refund " he then asked for the slip, seeing that I had 1. He then turned and said sorry we can't take them. Said some thing to his staff and they all laughed then he left. I phoned head office where I was transferred from one person to the other. I was on hold for more than an hour. And was never helped. I somehow became a laughing stock as I left without being helped and the way the manager treated me.
