Two weeks ago I was in the pay queue in Clicks Westgate (whose air- STILL does not work...) when I spotted a young woman at the counter calmly slip one of the gift cards into her bag. l told her loudly that what she had just was worthless since it had not been loaded with a value.
Two of the staffmembers looked on as she took it out of her bag and put it on the counter asif nothing was wrong.
She then left the shop.
When it was my turn to pay (WHY?) I asked them if they knew that she had tried to from the shop; they looked at me asif I was an alien... then I asked whether my daughter would have received the same treatment if they had caught her. This caused more blank stares and loud laughter from my fellow shoppers.
So, Clicks Westgate, some affirmative shopping is in order?
(I REALLY like those cherry chocolates...)
