I purchased a small filing cabinet for home use from @home a couple of weeks ago. The sliding drawer that you put files in has slots for eight dividers, but the cabinet only comes with one divider. When we bought the unit, the sales people said we would easily be able to buy the other seven dividers needed. Turns out you can't - no stationery store we approached has seen anything similar, we even looked online.
If the drawer was a standard size, you could just buy standing files to wedge into it, but its also much much smaller than everything else on the market. Basically, we can use one compartment, and then we just would have to throw everything else in a pile on the bottom of the drawer, which is not the point of having a specific filing cabinet.
The store we bought it from says it is now scratched (the lady had to call over her colleague to remind her of where the scratch was supposed to be, its so small), so they won't take it back. I think they to us about the availability of parts before we took delivery, so its not really relevant whether it got scratched - they sold it to us on a basis.
