On Saturday 27/04/2013 I walked into Truworths at Westgate Mall to pay my account. Upon informing the cashier I would ONLY be paying the monthly installment, I proceeded to hand over my bank card which was swiped, punched in the pin and thought that was the end of it. To my surprise the amount debited from my account was in fact not my installment but the entire outstanding balance! I immediately informed the cashier of the error and she proceeded to call her manager. The manager took my card swiped it and told me the funds should be refunded in 24 hours, not even a simple form of apology as "Sorry" was given. 24 hours passed and still no refund. Due to work commitments I visited the store on Tuesday (30/04/2013) to inform them about the funds not being in my account. This time around I was made out to be a, a even as the manager did not believe me. I attempted to show them proof from my banking app (which has a mini-statement option), but now I'm forced to go to the bank to get a bank statement, which is an even greater hassle as I can only get there Saturday. I have other commitments which need to be paid and have to be pushed aside. Thank you Truworths for the up.
