We had a burglary at our company's offices 19/11/2012. The alarm went off, we were contacted by their control room and on our request their patrol car/guard visited the premises. They left a note "Appears in order" "no contact made". We suffered a financial loss of thousands due to items not covered by insurance.
We felt that there was apparent negligence on IMC's side as the burglary could have possibly been prevented.
We informed IMC about this by delivering a letter personally to Mr Buys on 7/12/12, explaining to him that we hold them responsible for our financial loss and claiming a certain amount from them.
They did not reply to our letter and there was NO reaction from them. Management were never available, messages were ignored, i tried to get an appointment without success. They were playing the "duck and dive game" and hoped the problem will go away. During early February 2013 we send them a registered letter which was also ignored.
I again tried to get an appointment without success. I then went to their premises, found Mr Buys who was not available, delivering another letter. His attitude was: "we wait for legal action."
