I accepted a Maxidoor quote (R45, 000) based on quick installation (5-8 working days from placing the order). Order was placed on the 16th of Jan we followed up on the 30th without as much as an apology from Maxidoor for being late. Team arrives on the 1st of Feb, after threatening to cancel the contract. They arrive with half the material and after forcing them to "poach" it the team leaves our premises at 22:20 that evening with the installation not completed. Another date is arranged, which is abandoned because the final order has not arrived. Third attempt upon installation material is damaged and locks have to be replaced (on another date) because they don't work. Then I get a request to supply my Credit Card details telephonically as the EFT (which was quite acceptable in the past) is not good enough and the installation can not go ahead without it. A classical attempt to not arrive for the third attempt to complete the installation! Finally let alone drilling holes in my porcelain tiles on the wrong side of the door which I now have to live with!
Appaling, appaling, appaling.
