Taking money for cancelled services

I contacted Vetus Schola via telephone apx 7 plus months ago to cancel my account with them as we were leaving the country and the house they were monitoring (alarm, patrol etc). They told me over the phone to email the request to Michelle de Vries at Vetus Schola and gave me the email address over the phone as [Email Removed] i wrote this down in my diary and sent the mail which went through according to my email provider. I went about my life. at the end of the year I came back to SA to find out they have been taking money via direct debit from our SA account and ignored my call and email. I contacted them about this and they said I need to find the email. I did this and sent the email to them as well as told them the actual alarm was off since I contacted them and that the house had been empty for months thus what exactly were they monitoring?? After two weeks of ignoring me I contacted them again and I was passed on to Michelle a few times. She finally came back to me a few days ago (a month later) saying that the email address was incorrect originally so I get no refund. I emailed back asking for a manger to contact me which has so far been ignored.
