I tried to cancel my tracker today (which I have had for 10 years) as I have sold my car. They would not accept the immediate cancellation and said I had to give them a months calendar notice. This works out to about 5 weeks notice. When I told Tracker this was not in line with the Consumer Protection Act, they basically told me too bad. However the CPA states "A consumer may cancel such an agreement before the agreed expiry date by giving the supplier 20 business days written notice".
Funny thought when I cancelled the insurance on my car it took immediate effect and they offered me a pro rata refund on the rest of the month.
