I informed mix telematics via email in June 2013 that my vehicle was to be sold and that I need to cancel the policy. I had no response untill October 2013 when they informed me of my outstanding accounts. I resent the message of cancellation as I could not discover the email I sent 3 months prior. They only cancelled it the 1st of November 2013 thus charging me for a service never used as the car was sold in June.
I spoke to consultant Hazel Mbonani and she informed me to look for the email previously sent to ensure that the charges are reversed. I recieved a email that I have been handed over to debt collection agents and I now have a bigger bill. She did not notify me of when they will hand me over as I am still going through emails to find the email sent in June 2013.
They are suppose to help people not loose their assets but they extort money for zero service. I think the public protector needs to investigate how you can charge for a service not rendered and then hand me over when I have been cooperating to get to the bottom of this communication failure.
I will not recommend or use any mix telematics product ever.
