We contacted ADT about installing CCTV cameras. A salesperson came to see us and told me they needed a 50% Deposit which I duly paid. After about 2 weeks when nothing happened I tried to contact the salesperson but he was not to be found. They also knew nothing about my deposit that I paid. After shouting and screaming another salesperson contacted me and eventually found the deposit and then the problems started. They did not tell us that the conduiting was not part of the quote so another R4000 later (for another company referred by ADT) it sort of commenced. ADT had to wait for the conduiting to be done before they came. When it was done ADT came to do the cabling and install the cameras. They were always late or did not come at all and did not bother to let me know either. The whole job took about 4 or 5 weeks to complete. We are still not happy with the result as the cameras at night is not what I think it should be. To speak to a manager or anyone with authority at ADT in Johannesburg is not possible. I am seriously thinking of changing our security company.
