We signed an ADT agreement in March 2012.No where in the contract is a fixed period stated. Only commencement date is stated. After numerous test and ADT failure to repsond due to no radio signal we complained to the radio room. No one was sent to fix the issue. After more test on same subject and calls to the radio room no one was sent to fix the issue. We have even been told their is no record of us calling them (Vusi client services) We opted to cancel the contract since we feel this is poor service and a breach of the agreement. We however have been told to read the small fineprint terms and conditions which states our contract is fixed for 2 years form the commencment date. One would understand a 2 year fixed period if in fact ADT had an invested cost in alarm system but they dont as we own all the equiptment. We have now been told by Vusi in cleints services the only way to cancel is to pay a fixed penalty. For what i dont know as we own the equiptment and to penalise a service not provided is beyond my understanding. Aslo for Vusi in client services to sarcasticaly call my wife "miesies" as if we are some remanisance of apartheid is shamefull and disgusting.
