I recently discovered by chance that my name is on the list of Transunion Credit Bureau! In December 2005 ADT phoned me, whilst being on holiday, reporting my alarm at home went off. They could'nt find anything wrong and said they would ask their technical people to fix. Next evening same story - I then arranged my own supplier to fix.
I told ADT on several occasions I paid the supplier and believe it is unfair from them to expect a payment of R 250.00 for their alleged attempt. Since I sold my house, in August 2006 and moved to a new premise, I cancelled my contract. They asked me to introduce them to new owner which I duly did. Never heard again from them, until accidently discovered my name being on Transunion Credit Bureau list following a judgement in Johannesburg court for the outstanding R 250.00, in 2008!
This is grossly unfair.
