Today I went in to a DSTV service provide to swop my Smart Card. I was told that I did not have to bring in my decoder and they gave me a card with the new smart card that explained trouble shooting. When I got home I inserted the card and got E17 message. I sent a sms to the number on the card and repeated this after 30 minutes. After another 30 minutes and still no service I phoned the helpline and followed the self service voice prompts, but got an error message and was told to wait for an operator. After 12 minutes I got cut off and I phoned again. I was kept on hold for 43 minutes before I was told by an operator that I should have known that I was suppose to take my decoder with me when doing the card swop! how exactly was I suppose to do that and the service provider also did not inform me. Now I am spending another day without dstv that I am paying for. Who is going to pay for all my trouble - time of work, petrol, all the phone calls. the only reason you have customers is because you have no real competition. This is unacceptable
