DOESNT EVEN INSTALL!

I recently purchased The Sims3 University Life. I then attempted to install it like any other previous Sims3.
As it was installing, a error messaged appeared saying "D: GameDataSharedPackagesfullBuild_p18.package Error. Data error (cyclic.reduncy check)"
I clicked 'Retry' and it continues installing then it appears once again and this continues throughout the installation. At the end of the installation, it gives the message and does not dissapear until you exit the Installation Wizard.
My computer requirements are more than adequate.
How can EA Games sell a product that can't even install onto a computer.
