FAULTY GAME DISC

I purchased the Supernatural Expansion Disc of "The SIMS 3" in May for my sister for her birthday. She tried to install the game however every attempt failed due to "files being missing on the disc" as per the error message. We consulted with a local technician who confirmed the same error and advised we return it to the store. Regrettably we forgot about the game and only realized this weekend we still haven't returned it to the store. I called the store this morning and the salesman said I can bring it in so they can have a look at it. I went to the store which is quite a distance from my office and they told me they cannot refund it, I said I just want to exchange it for another disc then, they said no, I should contact EA Games directly. They made no effort to really assist me other than merely looking at the disc. Why could they not simply try and install or try and find a solution or try and liaise with EA Games? I think this is very unprofessional. A complete waste of my time and money. They were very happy to receive my "purchase" but not very interested in "assisting with my problem".

I don't think I'll be buying from BT Games in Walmer Park again.
