Multichoice have been running a drive to get DSTV subscribers to use debit orders. I thought this was a great idea and when they contacted me directly i gave them the details they required and i was told the DO was sorted. This billing date came and went with no DO amount deducted from my account. I called into the call centre and after a lot of explaining (me to them) i was told that the DO was rejected as the account is in my wifes name.
I asked what process needed to be completed and what details were required to complete the DO in my wifes name and i duly printed off the required forms and gathered the details they required. I have now emailed the details, to a dedicated debit order email address at least 8 times and i have still not had any sort of acknowledgment or a DO deduction off our account.
This promotion is driven by a competition with some pretty exspensive prizes and i feel that i have done everything i possibly can to provide the information that they require to setup a DO.
If DSTV did not have a monopoly this lack of customer service would cost them thousands of customers.
