Is there something wrong with my eyes?!. NO, its just a ster-kinekor movie.
Last night I went to see the Hobbit with a bunch of friends and was, yet again, disappointed with the quality of the movie. The screen went out of focus 4 times during the movie and I went to complain twice, missing parts of the movie. The first time I complained the guy was chatting to his buddies at the food counters and went to fix it telling me that "there is something wrong with the projector". The second time I suggested that he stayed in the projecting room so that he could refocus it whenever it went blurry, which I am guessing he did, although it did take a couple of minutes for him to notice it was blurry and fix it the next two times it happened. I am tired of paying R55 for a blurry/stretched/split screen - all of which I have experienced at Somerset Ster-kinekor. Embarrassingly I continue to insist that my group of friends watch movies at Ster-kinekor, specifically somerset mall which last I checked was considered a 'classic' cinema.
I am not sure if it is faulty equipment or under-trained staff but I think that this should be looked into for the sake of the enjoyment of all your customers.
