We went for dinner to the Maslow Hotel on 10/2/2013.
I ordered a fillet (med rare) and the others had steak rolls and burgers.
My fillet was completely tasteless. Very dry for a med rare steak. I asked the waiter if there was any sauce and so he brought me a pepper jus. It added little to no taste at all. I actually gave a taste to the other guys to see what they thought and they all said it was awful. The other meals were at the best average.
I asked to speak to the chef who had a very bad attitude. I told him it was the worst steak I had eaten and tasteless as was the sauce. His reply, was something like we have so many feet coming through here and everyone loves our food and we have had no complaints!!! Well, then i guess I don't have the right to complain??
I'm not saying the steak isn't normally superb! I'm sure it is. But mine, last night, was tasteless.
All he had to do was offer me something else, or a free coffee and that would be that. But he walked off, was rude and arrogant and then charged me for it. We eat at a different hotel every Sunday night, this was the worst experience I've had and will never be back!!! The rudeness and attitude of the chef shocked all of us!!
