Bad food quality Unacceptably Bad Attitude

We ordered an item on the menu "Fillet steak rare to med rare -strips on a bed of rocket."
We got an over well done burnt steak. We called the chef, she apologised and said she would make another.
What arrived next was a medium piece of meat, from what part of the cow we are not sure. It was full of marbled fat and sinew, and so tough a steak knife battled to cut.
We called Mr. Weyer to complain about the problem. His response was bordering on rudeness. "If you ordered fillet then you got fillet! " Unfortunately for him at the next table was a chef that was on holiday in Clarens. He checked the meat and confirmed it was poor quality meat and certainly not fillet. Mr. Weyer had to backtrack and agreed not to charge us for the meal.
When we left, the restaurant was empty except for Weyer and a tableful of his friends. Bravado back - his parting greeting to us was "I just ate your steak and there was nothing wrong with it"
What a rude and uncalled for comment.
