Rude, unprofessional end to a great beginning
Booked venue for my child's birthday party. Very accommodating and friendly Director/manager, Chanelle. Allowed our own caterers and still dropped price of venue due to us having special food requirements being Indian. Never thought director could become so ugly over a warmer that we hired from her. My caterer also brought her own warmers and she had left whilst we were still trying to find space for the leftovers. We couldn't manage to take back her one warmer as there was no space in our car so we left it at the venue. We never used the warmer we hired from Chanelle and it was also left there. Mysteriously the venues warmer disappeared the next day and only the caterers remained. Chanelle insisted that the caterer return her warmer and she will give back the caterers but the caterer hadn't taken the venues warmer. To resolve it I told Chanelle to check the camera footage to which she obliged. A week later she hadn't come back to me and the caterer needed her warmer. Chanelle didn't answer my mails or take my calls so I drove there. She became aggressive, rude and highly unprofessional when she accused me of screaming yet she started screaming at me, the client, first. I told her I want the caterers warmer and will not leave until I get it. She then shouted and said I must leave the property and I must get out. Prior to that a week ago she agreed to checking the footage but now told me she's not sure how long it will take to retrieve it. She said she doesn't have f...Kin time for this S..t. Is this the way to speak to a client? She even told me a week back that she wants to sort it out amicably because the warmer is about 300r and it's not worth it to fight with a client who could bring in more business. So what the hell was the performance for? If she was half professional she would have told me to take the caterers warmer and once the footage is revealed we will then sort it out from there. It's not my fault that whoever is retrieving the footage will do it in their time. That's the venues problem if they can't prove that the client misplaced the equipment but you need to give your client the benefit of the doubt. Beautiful venue but will never go back unless there's new owners. Will relate my experience to all I know.
