I have been without DSTV for the last few days.
I called the Johannesburg helpline numerous times yesterday and all my calls got dropped during filling in my details or while waiting for a consultant. This was around 15 calls!
When I called today I kept a log of my calls and decided to call multiple call centres:
Johannesburg call centre: Call 1: dropped after inputting ID; Call 2-10: engaged tone; not even ringing
Pretoria call centre: Call 11- Call 14: engaged tone
Durban call centre: Call 15: engaged; Call 16: followed the voice prompts and my call was not dropped. However, I was holding on for over 16 minutes for a consultant and then decided to hang up!
I have not had an issue like this with the DSTV call centre previously but the above track record is horrific! It is surprisingly worse than even government departments that are short staffed.
What is the issue Multichoice DSTV or the reason for such poor service from your call centre?
