Smart card replacement

DSTV did an upgrade on there smart cards and customers were requested to take the old card in and to replace them with new cards.

I visited my local DSTV store just to find out that only the main outlets were able to assist me but that the branch in Pretoria was out of stock... So some time later I did visit the outlet in Lynwood road (Pretoria). In order for me to do a swop I would have to sit and wait for at least an hour.

I find this unacceptable. The changes to the system is not my fault so why should I be inconvenienced. If it is difficult for me I can just imagine that viewers in Kakemas and Putsonderwater might also be rather frustrated.

After numerous discussions with DSTV about this issue I am still without a service (thus I stopped my subscription) and hence I decided to raise this on an open platform. I do hope that DSTV will respond in public.
