Supersport Park
Safety for the audience at cricket games

We watched the cricket game on Saturday when South-Africa was playing in a T20. We sat on the east grass about 10meters left of the big screen and 10 meters in front of the big screen.
Every time that there was a 6 or a wicket - fireworks blasted from the top of the big screen. The fireworks' coals fell onto a few of the people in our group (of 15). Two of us got burnt by the very hot coals, the burn mark on my leg is about the size of a R2 coin, and it formed a bruise and blister. I have pictures of my leg where the coal fell. Every 6 and wicket after that I was so scared of the fireworks going off, seeing as my leg was burnt. This is unacceptable, as a stadium where people go to watch games, I expect there to be some sort of security measures when fireworks are used, or test runs done before the game to make sure that the fireworks hold no threat to the viewers.
