I just finished reading an article about India booking tours which overlap our scheduled matches against them. Firstly, As a Avid Test Cricket fan, I find the lack of Test Cricket being played by South Africa unacceptable. I have no idea what happens when matches or tours are scheduled, But the lack of any games is very disheartening. SA Cricket needs to stand up to the likes of India and Sri Lanka. Australia and England are playing 10 test matches against each other, How many Test matches do we have scheduled for this year? Why do we play so little Test Cricket? Why do we always accommodate other test playing countries? As a South African and a supporter, I feel this seriously needs to be rectified. I hope the Sports Minister can look into this and CSA can get their head out their rectum and realise that we want to see Vern Philander playing. We want to see Mr Smith strike fear into the opponents. Those magnificent spells that Dale Steyn produces. Mr Amla is a Master Batsman and we cant expect to see his true class in the shortened version of the game. At the end of the day, World Cricket needs South Africa for its credibility, There arent that many Test playing Nations...
