I have a DSTV Decoder which was striked by lightning, both power cable and decoder are no longer functional. My decoder is insured under household and my insurance is requesting that i get a written declaration that the decorder is indeed no longer functional.
I wennt to the DSTV accredited dealer in Midrand Casworld Decor, they tested and confirmed that my decorder is no longer functional but they cldnt write me a report to say so. I called multichoice head office, and still was told that multichoice doesnt issue report on their own products. Itstead my insurance must call in and sum1 will read the report i made. Wich when i spoke to my insurance, it is not enough.
What i dont understand is, how can you be able to test your own product and confirm that the product is no longer functional, but refuse to issue me with a report/proof or any kind of something to show that i did come in an have it tested and it is no longer working.
Instead everyone keeps telling me if only it was insured by multichoice, well it i not insured by multichoice but it is still a multichoice product. and i would please like for sum1 to tell me how do i get a written confirmation.
Thanks
