Billed without a TV

I keep getting lawyers letters demanding payment of licence and penalties, I have given up sending affidavits and emails, I have never met a more incompetent organisation as this. I had a Teljoy account years back and when it expired so did my TV . As I travelled a lot and was rarely home I never replaced or repaired it. SABC just assumed I still had a license and never even bothered to call to confirm whether I was continuing with the service or not. Last week one of the collection agents phoned me AGAIN and after explaining the situation. Told them not to contact me again without a signed contract between myself and SABC . True to for this was ignored and I received a SMS telling me to pay again today! Enough is enough! The collection agency is VVM, tel 0877401211
