I used the decor services of Cindy Rynhoud from Love, Laugh, Inspire for my wedding in September 2012. Before my wedding, another supplier called me to warn me that Cindy was being investigated for. Before paying a deposit, I did a check on Cindy but did not find anything negative. Afterwards I searched again & found a few bad reviews about her. I asked Cindy about the negative reviews, she made it seem like the other people were wrong.
I made a backup plan, since there was a huge risk that Cindy would not show up to do my wedding d? cor. After my wedding, Cindy said she would pay R181 of my R1500 deposit. Her claims included charges for "re-fillable candles", which is a lie, since those candles were from Mr. Price and not refillable. A full recon was done before leaving the venue, the venue manager also confirmed that nothing was missing or broken!
I used LegalWise to get my deposit back. They requested proof of damage & missing items. She did not provide anything. LegalWise cannot pursue matters under R3000, so I had to appear at the small claims court in Dbn. I live in Jhb, so had to let this one go.
Brides please do not make the same mistake! Do not use Cindy Rynhoud!
