On 28th November 2012 I paid a depost, first month's rent and agent's fees to Cindy-Lee Bruce. I had completed an application to rent a cottage but had not yet signed a lease. Five days later, on 2nd December 2012, I send Cindy an email stating that I could not afford the rental. She replied that it was not a problem although her R550 agent's fees were not refundable. I accepted this. I was refunded a portion of the payment but Cindy has not refunded my deposit of R5, 500 despite promises by her to do so. In December she said she is battling to put food on her table so I did not bother her again until the end of January 2013. Cindy has been rude and belligerent as time goes on. I am unemployed and am now struggling to put food on my table. Common courtesy, good manners and an understanding attitude are all I ask. This is my money!
