On Friday the 28th June, we as a family decided to take an outing to Emperors Palace - 60kms away. My daughter wanted to watch a movie, so we checked what movies were showing and decided to go through to watch the 19h30 - Monsters University. We got there just after 19h00 and waited in an extremely long queue (only 1 ticket till was working), eventually we were ushered to the Food Counter to book our tickets. Time now was 19h28. When we got to the counter, the lady informed us that there was a private function on the show we wished to see and hence couldn't book for it. We then asked to see another movie, only to be told, coz my daughter was 6, there was no other movie available on the nite that she could watch. Now I ask you - how could NuMetro not have a movie or 2 open for viewing for kids, especially as it was the school holidays; how could they host a function on a Friday nite and limit other partons at that prime time; why were the problems associated with ticket selling not sorted for the prime time, instead of making us wait in queues; why were no staff assisting the rush; why were no signs placed over the show indicating it was a private function??? SHOCKING!!
