I cancelled my DSTV D HD account on the 19th of June and said to the lady that I am leaving the country for work. She assured me that all services were cancelled and the debit would not be executed even giving me a reference number.
But like my wife warned me..Multichoice went ahead and debited my account on the 26/06 for almost R700.
On calling today, the services were never cancelled and were still active, this after I haven't even switched on my decoder since the 07/06. Now I have to wait 10 days for a refund, which I wont be able to contest if not done as I will be out of the country. Where's the customer service in that... This after 2 calls that probably cost me in excess of R100.00 on my airtime bill.
