Price difference on smart card and availability

Good Afternoon,

I just want to rise this concern of mine. On Friday 31 of May I phoned the call centre to find out what the procedure is for when the smart card is damaged. The Call Agent informed me that I must go the my nearest Multichoice Agent and purchase a new card, the value of this card is R49.00.

On saturday my husband went to our Multichoice in Secunda to purchase this card just to be informed that they don't stock the smart card he must go tho Multichoice in Standerton.

Today my husband travelled from Secunda to Standerton to purchase the card just to find out that there is a price difference between what the guy at the call centre said and what the agent is asking.

At the agent in Standerton we just paid R85.00 for a new card. My question is why is there a price difference?
