On 17 May 2013, we took our son to the restaurant at the Golden Valley Casino for his birthday. It was the first time we ever went there (and we go there often) that there was no Buffet, but were served a-la-Cart. The selection available was pathetic. We could order almost nothing off the menu, as it was not in stock. They offered 5 fish-dishes, 3 steak-dishes, Lamb shank, and the cheff spacial: Spare-ribs.
My youngest son ordered a Beef burger, but after 30 minutes, the waiter asked him if they could serve Chicken burger, because they were out of beef burgers. We ordered 3 steak dishes, but were informed that they only had 2 servings left! I reordered, asking for the Lamb Shank.
When the food arrived, we were stunned. The 'steak', which was supposed to be Rump, was nothing more than slithers of fat and very tough meat, that was totally inedible. My Lamb Shank was so tough, it was impossible to get it off the bone. I gave up trying, and only ate the pumpkin and mash. The two people that ordered the steak, went home without eating. My husband could not eat his Spare-Ribs either. It was so tough, and looked uncooked.
Surely this is not up to standard???
