We went to go watch a movie at Brooklyn Mall on Saturday 30 November 2013 and stood in line for over 20 minutes to buy refreshments. Once we got to the front of the line we were informed that they did not have any slush puppy and that they only had soda available. After ordering coke zero the women who helped us took us to the other refreshment counter only on the way to find out that they also didn't have coke zero available. There were no signs anywhere informing us that they were out of stock or that there was a problem. This is completely unacceptable considering that it was a Saturday night and one is not permitted to bring refreshments purchased somewhere else into the cinema. Management should have made sure that there was enough stock or at least have informed customers that there was a problem. Needless to say we had to watch a movie with no refreshments and could not enjoy the "Great Moments at their Greatest". In future we will think twice before electing to watch a movie at Ster-Kinekor in order to enjoy the full cinema experience.
