So on the 8th, two days ago, we realize that we can only watch about 4 channels on dstv. We're been paying faithfully every month but haven't had the extra cash to upgrade to pvr yet. We phoned the dstv helpline and had a technition at our house today. We have to pay R150 call out fee. To our shock we were told that we have to install a second cable running to our dstv decoder that will cost us over R1000. Otherwise we have to spend around R500 on another decoder to sort put the problem.. So here's the problem... Why do we need to spend extra to sort out a problem we never had before? Is dstv changing their systems and we have to pay and adapt? Why is this the first time we are hearing about it, no warning? We just don't get it. Surely this is illegal?
