Incorrect information given by Call Centre

At the end of last year I phoned Multichoice to find out whether I will be able to use a HD PVR decoder on DSTV Select. The answer I received was yes it will definitely work on DSTV Select, it will only be R70 more per month. I thought the PVR might only be for the premium package. I bought a decoder which cost me R1500. The installation was R950. I phoned Multichoice on 14 December and ported my DSTV Select to my new PVR decoder. No problems. She did not tell me that I could not??? Because I received a bonus from my employer I decided to upgrade to the premium package for the holiday only. I asked the lady whether I can do that and change back to DSTV Select in January and she told me yes. We changed to the premium package and yesterday I phoned to change back to DSTV Select. I was then told that I cannot change to DSTV Select on my new PVR Decoder and that I can change back only if I go back to my old decoder!!! This was not the information I was given and I would not have spent R2500 for nothing!!! This is unacceptable!!! I have DSTV Select since 2007. Why should I lose money because of incorrect information? I want my DSTV Select with Kyknet on my PVR as I was promised!
