On 5 April, I upgraded from the Compact bouquet to the Premium package. I received an SMS balance after that stating my payment due on 2 May was R744.
On 30 April at 17:02 I received notification from Multichoice that their debit orders are incorrect, and that I should stop the payment with my bank. Considering 1 May was a public holiday, and the debit order was due to run on 2 May, this could not be done. A further SMS stated that if I contacted Multichoice before 13:00, a same day refund would be made.
My bank account was debited with R2556.72, and I contacted Multichoice for a refund. The IVR mentioned my account was R690.61 in credit.
How do you get to that amount if you take R744 from R2556.72?
I spoke to a consultant, who told me, the credit due was around R1300. Still not happy, I spoke to a supervisor, who explained the costing, and stated that the credit of R1590 was due to me, and that it would be processed that day - 2 May.
It is now 8 May, and I still have not received my refund, and an SMS balance enquiry again tells me that I have a credit of R690.61 which is incorrect.
Besides not receiving my refund, I have also incurred costs for debit order rejections.
