Have to pay for services not used

Good day,
I bought a decoder from HiFi corporation on Saturday 27/04/2013, i applied for the free installation on the same day and they installed my dish on Tuesday. I was then informed to pay R500.83 otherwise they are going to cut my services, thereafter I received an sms stating I have to pay R1028 for viewing until 27 June 2013. What I cannot understand is why I should pay for services I havent used yet? I dont mind paying my R625 each month that is why i got DSTV, an I did not budget on paying them this month, now i cannot view. Everyone else I know has DSTV and as far as they are concerned (and me) that u pay end of the month not before. Can i have a payment arrangement made to pay the R1028 end of May? I dont want my services cut off nor do I want to start a "Bad Payment" record with multichoice. PLEASE CAN SOMEONE ASSIST ME WITH THIS ISSUE? Otherwise i am going to be forced to cancell my subscription as i dont have the R500 now.
