I am so frustrated. I purchased a plot for strategic investment - expecting a 5 to 7 year span, with the understanding that I have the option to sell before the site conclusion - at a fee of 500GBP. I was also assured that I would be able to sell at fair market value at that time - comfortable that property value over a long period of time is a safe investment.
When I enquired, after 7 years of patient investment, I was quoted at the same price I bought the property, and I had to pay a 2 000 GBP handling fee (20%). The latest time frames are now 3 additional years of investment. before I can realise the amazing returns promised.
This would mean that I had paid 10 000 GBP, and after almost 8 years, I can only get back 80% of my investment. I feel totally duped. And have no faith that the promised returns will materialise.
