Incompetent rental agents

Found a place to let on a website, contacted JHI and spoke to Robert Wilson. We agreed to meet at the property. Upon arrival we met up with Robert who was clearly unprepared as he was running around like a headless chicken. He couldn't answer any of our queries and just kept on saying "I'll have to check with the letting agent. We said that we will definitely take the apartment and he handed us an application for completion. Robert then proceeded to say that the property won't be let until approval. The following day we took it to the JHI offices in Sandton where we were requested to supply more info which was sent through to them on the same day. To show how incompetent the staff is, the lady who took the application said that we didn't supply three months bank statements, although she had it in her hands. Since Friday 17 January 2014 we heard nothing accept for a phone call when company certificates were requested although it's not a company but sole proprietor as confirmed via letter from book keeper. Today at 15:54 we received the following email from Robert" This unit has been taken. How would you like to proceed? " How pathetic can you get? Surely not competent!
