I realise that it's a little unorthodox to complain about a complex but I strongly believe that while the gated community trend offers security and comfort it should not be exploited so that members of the body corporate or the board of trustees can run a complex like its North Korea. Macarthur Park recently informed residents that they were no enforcing a no pets law that was actually signed into being in 2001. So they waited 13 years to enforce this rule? Then even more amusing they say that there are four legal cats in the complex, the rest are illegal! Apparently these legal cats, which jump through peoples windows and into their houses, climb trees and sprint after birds are supposedly legal because they were here before 2001. Um..the average age of a cat is 12-15 years old. So is there something in the grass at Macarthur Park? have they found the fountain of youth for cats or are these cats in fact the trustees own pets or pets of friends and family. I sway towards the latter. Do not buy an apartment or even rent one here as the trustees are dictators who's sustenance is extreme hypocrisy and bureaucracy.
