I have been looking for a property for about a month and a half now in Cape Town. I understand that the industry at the moment is very flooded in terms of demand. I have seen people paying 12 months rent in advance and arriving at viewing appointments with all documentation already completed in order to secure a place. This brings us to what

I found the advert for a property and contacted the agent regarding a viewing. I received the date and time for the viewing. I researched the place and found out the popularity of the complex and decided it suited my requirements. I phoned June (the agent) to request an application form that I could complete and submit when I viewed the property. June refused to provide me with an application and stated the best she could do was to bring an application to the viewing. I arrived at the viewing only to find that she had not brought an application for me. She assured me that she would send it immediately after the viewing, she did not. I then received a notification a day after the viewing that she was sorry for the delayed response but the systems were offline and unfortunately the property had been let. I lost out on consideration as a result
