We've purchased a Zodia MX8 pool cleaner, just after being released in our area more or less 2 years ago.
About 6 months after the purchase the gears packed up. After logging a service request with Zodia, they came out and replaced the gears, this re-occured for about 5 times afterwards. Every 3 -4 months the gears would pack up and has to be replaced.
Zodia's service has been good, as they responded each time with a free call-out. But what does it help us, the warrantee has not expired, and yet again the gears packed up. We were promised a new unit on several occations, but without any response re a new unit. This unit cleans very well, but with the current performance and reliability track record, we are now considering the Kreepy Krauly Hug Bug. How can a unit be designed to be so maintenance intensive?
