I have experienced bad service from this branch and am not making a complaint to achieve problem resolution as my dealings with JL Roodepoort are - thankfully - over but rather as a warning to those using their services.
For a company whose main focus is management of property, their internal management leaves much to be desired. I had to resend important documents various times, prove that I moved into a unit with a prepaid meter to avoid excess electrical bills and push for return of my deposit. Had I not kept records and insisted on changes to their deductions, they would have kept a much larger portion of my deposit than the finalized amount.
If I wanted to enter into business with a company where I'd have to monitor and question this amount of admin, I wouldn't complain but my rent did contribute to their commission after all.
The service is disappointing and I would discourage those considering renting via Just Letting as you will not be treated as a customer but rather another burden whom they happen to receive a monthly payment from.
