I rented a property through Just Letting Centurion and when I needed to move out I followed all their processes
and sent them all the required documentation for them to return my deposit (as specified in their documentation) by the 15th of the month following me moving out (in this case, all paperwork was done by 27 August, I moved out 30 August 2013 and the final inspection was done same day with NO "defects").
Today is the 20th September and they are still giving me the run around and have stories about batch payments and how long it takes to transfer the money etc.
Strange how when I wanted to rent I had to pay the deposit and rent same day to ensure I get the property and could move in but when I move out they take 3 weeks to give my deposit back. Their property management leaves a LOT to be desired.
On a positive note, their Head Office (in Durban) is very helpful and efficient when it comes to customer service however they cannot return deposits or act on the branche's behalf when it comes to payments and the like.
