About 2 month ago we were notified that the landlord was selling the place and that we needed to move out, we then found another place through the same branch but vi Joyce as we were told that Rita had left the company. This meaning that we would get our deposit refund or carry it over to the new unit we were now renting. Joyce told us this was not possible, it being the same letting agent I don't get how this was not possible. 1st I was Told by Chantel that it would take 7 days, but due to maintenance it would be 21 days from the day we moved out. it has been well over 21 days and every time I call they tell me they are waiting for the electricity bill from the body corporate in the past 2 days I have spoken to Gina about this, yesterday she assured me payment would be done on the 21 May but I'm still waiting.
what annoys me the most is the fact that I have to constantly call they and follow up on my payment, no one at that office bothers to get back to me, on top of the non-existent communication Gina also suggested that I call the body corporate myself if I was not satisfied by their service, so my question to just letting Roodepoort - are we as tenants not your clients?
